Catalog note / 解説
"Tales of Aesop; Tale of Stomach and Body Parts". The various body parts had a grudge against the stomach. It sat in the middle and consumed the food which all the other body parts had worked so hard to get. They refused to bring food to the stomach. After a while, the body parts starved and became thinner and thinner. They realized the stomach was actually doing its job to digest the food and sent the nutrients to the various body parts. Kyosai made the design as a political satire. The stomach has a tie inscribed, "Financier" around his neck.
