Catalog note / 解説
Shuzo Ikeda (b. 1922) uses the small child's enchantment with nature as a major area of this artist's interest. The delightful, sometimes whimsical treatment of a child's relationship to nature is quite evident in this lovely scene of a young girl with a shade hat enjoying the fragrance of plucked pansies. This piece is 33/300 and dated 1982. It is in excellent condition. Ikeda chosen as one of the print artists featured in the 1980 Blakemore's book "Who's Who in Modern Japanese Prints". It was framed in Japan using 8-ply silk mat enclosed in a simple white wooden frame and non-glare glass.
