This print is a good example of one type of perspective print in that the scene is shown from a bird's-eye view, and almost all the tea-houses are drawn in parallel perspective. An interesting feature of this print is the presence of a miniature Mount Fuji at the upper right. In the Edo period, the worship of this sacred mountain became extremely popular among townspeople. This movement is said to have been founded by Hasegawa Kakugyö, an ascetic who formed his followers into associations known as Fuji-kö.
