Saturday, 18 June 2005 Kakemono: The Journey of Love Artist: Nobukazu Format: Kakemono-e: 27 " x 10 " Subject: The beautiful female warrior, supporter of the Empress Jingo, Takeuchi no Sukune on her journey, through the northern snows, with loyal retainers, on an embassy to Korea. A particularly rare and fine Nobukazu design. Full sheet printed kakemono-e are most uncommon (see notes). Date: ca.1880s Condition: Full size. A small tear to upper left, restored. Crease at left.
