Catalog note / 解説
Kamu-natsu-so-hime in the early history of Japan. She was the queen of Yamato (Himiko? Yamato-koku was one of native kingdoms in the northern Kyushu area). With her co-operation, Emperor Keiko could make many of tribes in Kyushu under his control. These native tribes in the north or the south were called, "Tsuchigumo" (earth spider). Here, the design seems to have some allegorical meaning.
