Monday, 23 May 2011 Title Mt. Arashi in Rain provenance: Uchida Family Archives Artist Eiichi Kotozuka 1906-1979 Seal Artist's seal. Dated Ca. 1930 - 40s. Medium/Technique Watercolors and sumi on silk. Colors Very good. Condition Very good... Light toning. Light foxing. The top edge is pasted on the presentation folder. Description A fine atomospheric watercolor painting on silk. Mt Arashi in a rainy day in June. The title, the artist's seal and Uchida seal were written by the artist. On the bottom of the print, the Japanese word for "June" is written. This design was later published as a woodblock print. It has been kept in the famous publisher in Kyoto, The Uchida, archives.
