Catalog note / 解説
From the series, "Zoku Showa Shokugyo E-zukushi" (Occupations of the Showa Era in Pictures - Continued) Group of Dancers. The first series was published by Nishinomiya Shoin in 1938 - 1943. It was very popular and even featured on the Asahi Newspapers everytime the new design was published. The series was interrupted by W.W.II. After the war, Kyoto Hanga-in made the continuation of the series. The series is an interesting document of the new as well as the old, dying occupations in Japan in early to mid 20th Century.
