Rare set of 16 wood block prints by Sanzo Wada The print is titled "Makio-San"...and depicts a Maiko in elaborate Kimono, making Japanese tea, or Macha. Published by Kyoto Hanga-In as "The Steps in Wood Block Printing"Accordion folded album 17.5 x 23.5 cm, believed to have been published in 1930. 16 progressive printings of the print, beginning with the black-outline key block. The book opens right-to-left, Japanese style, with the color block shown on the right, and its impression over the key & progressive printings on the left.
