Catalog note / 解説

From the series, "Children of Asia", "Watashi no Basho" (My favorite place). Two girls in Nepal. The artist wrote about this print design the following amusing text: "While my wife and I were taking a leisurely walk up a rocky path, a group of children suddenly appeared. They took our hands and led us off with what we assumed was the intention to show their village. At first glance I noted their dishevelled appearance, and followed as they enthusiastically led us off. On reaching our destination I relaized that they had delivered us to the doorstep of the local candy shop. When I asked them what they wanted, they pointed to the Japanese ramen.".
