Canal by Moonlight

This is a great old Japanese woodblock print; it is pencil signed by the artist "Koho" and pencil titled "Canal by Moonlight". Koho is listed in several books on Japanese woodblocks; the book " Guide to Modern Japanese Woodblock Prints: 1900-1975" by Helen Merritt and Nanako Yamada, puts his dates as 1875-1925; he is also known as Shoda Koho. The print has the publisher's seal in red on the lower RH corner. There is heavy bleedthrough on the back as shown in photo; the print is attached at the top only (would come off easily) on a 2nd mat; the mat that is signed lays over it.
