Catalog note / 解説

Birds-eye-view of the dark forest, water, a tower and the distant mountain which were shrouded in the mist. Soft gradations to emulate brush painting effects. This print was a part of two groups of prints, produced by Unsodo in Kyoto between 1938-40. These prints were never reprinted because the blocks were transported from Kyoto to Tokyo during the war. There, they were lost due to the carpet bombing of Tokyo at the end of W.W.II.
