Monday, 23 May 2011 Title Snowy Garden provenance: Uchida Family Archives Artist Nisaburo Ito 1910-1988 Seal Artist's seal. Dated Ca. 1930 - 40s. Publisher Uchida. Medium/Technique Watercolor on paper. Colors Excellent. Condition Excellent - Very good... Slightly soiled. Description A watercolor painting of the garden of Daitoku-ji temple in snow. This design was later published as a woodblock print. It has been kept in the famous publisher in Kyoto, The Uchida, archives. Note Uchida Han is an important Japanese publishing company with branches in both Tokyo and Kyoto.
