Catalog note / 解説
"Godzilla and the Polar Bears". Godzilla looks like the grand-daddy of celebrated dinosaur monsters on the latest Hollywood films, but he has perhaps more sinister origin. He is the supreme "kaiju" monster, the radioactive spawn of atomic testing. Godzilla rampages to tear up his own creators and their civilization as if he embodied the fury of the nature and the arrogance of the industrialization. Here, accompanied by the fierce sun, he melts out the polar bears and their icy environment. Please read the related article about this provocative print series and the artist.
