Tuesday, 29 November 2005 Nishimura Hodo. Active 1930s. Red Parrot and Magnolia (Mokuren to Beni Omi) & Canary and Prunus (Ume to Kanariya). Color woodblock prints. Oban tate-e, 14 1/4 x 10 1/4" (sight). Sealed: "Hodo"; left side cartouche dated "Showa 12.3" (=1937 March) and "Showa 12.5" (=1937 May) (somewhat faded, framed and glazed).
