Catalog note / 解説
The artist is ISHIWATA KOITSU as signed. Paper is about 15 1/4" by 10 1/4". Incredibly RARE!!! Ishiwata Koitsu prints are as hard to find as hen's teeth. This is not the same artist as Tsuchiya Koitsu. Publisher seal of Watanabe Shizaburo in lower right margin. Watanabe Seal C. Dated 1931 as best as I can tell. Maybe it is dated earlier. I read the date as SHOWA 6. Early FIRST PRINTING!!! Titled "Nagashima Bridge, Yokohama". Image of a Harbor or River in Yokohama. Excellent detail. Note the early image of the modernization of Japan with the Telephone poles and wires in the background. This one is for the knowledgeable appreciative collector who realizes rarity.
