Catalog note / 解説
"Japanese Garden". Toshijiro was a famous kimono designer. He received the highest honor as artist, "Ningen Kokuho" (Intangible Cultural Property), from Japanese government in 1962. He designed only handful woodblock prints in the 1950s. Several of his art is being displayed permanently at the Tokyo National Museum, the New York Modern Art Museum, the Art Institution of Chicago and the Los Angeles Art Museum.
