Saturday, 4 March 2006 A fine unframed colour woodblock from the Shin Hanga movement, depicting two fishing boats at anchor at sunset. I do not know who the artist is but have taken close-ups of the seals to assist identification. On the reverse of the print is stamped - slightly indistinctly - H.Takemura Yokahama All Rghts Reserved Printed Matter Condition is reasonable but there is overall acidic toning to the paper and general scattered foxing. There are also some very minor abrasions and minor creasing. Finally, there is a small area of paper loss at the lower left corner.
