Sunday, 10 September 2006 Early 1900s Impressionistic Japanese Watercolor Painting signed Y. Ito. Painting alone measures 20" x 30 1/2" and it has its original frame and glass. Overall condition is excellent with the exception of being laid down to a cardboard backing along with subtle mat lines around the right and top edge discovered when removed from the frame. This riveting landscape in is Grueby blue and greens and it depicts a weeping tree in bloom with lilac flowers along side a lantern with a temple just visible in the background. Captivating Indeed!
