Catalog note / 解説
From album, "Ezo Nijuikkei" (Twenty-one Views of Ezo). Ezo is the old name of Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. The mysterious lake Mashu in cobalt blue color. The lake held the world record of transparency, 41.6 meters (137 feet) below the surface in 1931. The calm, clear water surface is said to have seven different colors, but unfortunately, it is often hidden by heavy mist.
