Catalog note / 解説
From the album series of prominent Rimpa artists. Magnolia with gold metallic pigment on black ogi-fan. "Rimpa" was a decorative school founded by Sotatsu in early 17th century. It was further developed by Korin OGATA (1652-1716). Shiko was one of Korin's best students. Their strikingly modern creations were moved into the spotlight again in 20th century by Sekka KAMISAKA (1866-1942).
