Saturday, 26 March 2011 My father was given a portfolio of drawings by his Great Aunt, about 20 years ago. This was in the portfolio, which included drawings from the Far East, Africa and Europe. Signed 'Y. Matsumoto', Japanese street scene at dusk, watercolour, signed bottom left. I believe this painting is from the 1920's. This watercolour is very pretty, with the light from windows and street lanterns shining through the dusk. There are people in the background, including a woman walking towards the viewer with a red sash around her kimono. Approximate measurements: 24.5x 33cm.
