Tuesday, 30 August 2011 Here is a stunning 1930's art deco period impressionist japanese watercolor landscape painting. The piece is signed in the lower left corner: Aoiti. I have no other information on the artist but there is a talent at work. Please excuse any reflections in the pics. The piece is in very good original condition with a couple of minor indications from age which do not detract at all and having been recently rematted in its period frame. It measures 19 by 25 inches overall with the image measuring 12 1/4 by 18 3/4 inches.
