I doubt this is by Fumiko Matsuda, who was born in 1928. From the previous owner: \"Charming superb quality watercolour study of a forest interior, a cabin or woodsman’s cottage beyond. Signed bottom right Matsuda but without a traditional ink impression we would expect from Japanese artists. Our research draws us to Fumiko Matsuda and our paperwork for this painting also indicates the artist, purchased from a leading country market auction. Few Matsuda works come to auction and the artist's work has matured in recently years. This example, a very atmospheric piece with mist cloaking the forest beyond contrasting with the trees and foliage in the foreground, is an early work for Matsuda, c1…
