材質: 絹本着色 寸法: 122.5x59.2 員数: 1幅 所蔵: 東京国立博物館 文殊菩薩は優れた智恵を象徴する菩薩。普賢（ふげん）菩薩とともに釈迦如来（しゃｋにょらい）の脇侍（きょうじ）として造像されほか、単独でも信仰の対象になった。右手に持つ剣は、迷いを断ち切る智恵のシンボル。硬さのある描写や、緑と茶色を主体とした色彩感覚に時代の特徴が現れている。
