Tom Hammick (born 1963) is a noted British painter and printmaker. He works in a variety of print media, including aquatint, etching, chine collé, and drypoint, but is best known for his large-scale colour reduction woodcuts. He often mixes techniques and varies his editions with hand-colouring and other modifications. His work is characterised by rich evocative colour, and the use of dense pattern. Narrative is a constant element of his work, whether the subject is personal, inspired by contemporary news media, or drawn from literature or music, especially opera.
