This is an genuine original Japanese woodblock print “Hibiskus” by great modern artist Tsuyoshi Yayanagi (b.1933). Created in 1981. Yayanagi’s silk-screen technique is not the traditional one used for kimono patterns and sometimes adapted for prints like by Yositoshi Mori stencils. Imagination and study are necessary if one hopes to decipher the images in Yayanagi’s abstruse, hard-edged, daringly colored works. His style reminding to us “psichodelic” style of Beatles time “Yellow Submarine”. The print is not trimmed or setdown. Excellent impression, colors and registrations, pristine condition. Printed on thick paper. Signed in pencile by the artist in Western style on bottom margin. Limite…
