100 Views of Edo: The Hundred-thousand-tsubo Plain Artist: Hiroshige I Format: Oban tate-e: 13.25" x 8.75" Subject: A Golden Eagle in flight, its wings forming a frame for the snowy sky, under the bird a swamp area that was reclaimed from the sea and often flooded in bad weather. The masterpiece from this superb set. Publisher: Ouya Eikichi Date: 1857 Condition: Very good colors. Trimmed in margins. Horizontal centrefold. Album binding holes along right edge. Minor marks and flaws. Generally good state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression of the second state of the first edition with mica on the bird's wings.
