Nov 2004: Hello Ross I am very grateful for your reply to my recent enquiry regarding the identification of a number of japanese prints that I have in my posession. Following your advice I have searched the internet and discovered a few interesting facts about creped prints and the different types of paper used in the process. I am however not quite clear as to why the process was applied to the originals which I presume were perfect clear prints on smooth hand made paper and of a larger size, but that I am sure is another story. Do they have any value as I cannot find any reference to creped prints in any auction catalogues? In my ignorance I now realise that I have made a serious error in…
