Catalog note / 解説
"Ohmi Hakkei no Uchi" (Eight Scenic Views of Ohmi) "Katata Rakugan" Geese flying to rest at Katata. This small and rare series is known as the finest landscape series by Hiroshige. The short poem on the square cartouche complements the serene poetic quality of his design beautifully. The translation from the reference book, "After crossing many a mountain range, the wild geese alight at Katata for a while, soon to continue their flight to northern Koshiji.".
