Catalog note / 解説
"Ohmi Hakkei no Uchi" (Eight Scenic Views of Ohmi) "Awazu Seiran" Clearing sky after a storm at Awazu. This small and rare series is known as the finest landscape series by Hiroshige. The short poem on the square cartouche complements the serene poetic quality of his design beautifully. The translation from the reference book, "White as when the wind clears away the cloud and scatters it, the sails of a hundred boats come flying to Awazu.".
