24 Paragons of Filial Piety of our Country Artist: Kuniyoshi Format: Chuban tate-e: 10.25" x 7.25" Subject: From the series 'Honcho nijushi-ko', the dutiful girl of Matsuyama, named Karumo, looking with astonishment at a mirror on the floor in which she mistakes her own reflection for that of her dead mother. Publisher: Mura-Tetsu Date: c. 1842 Condition: Perfect colors. Full size with margins. Very minor marks. A tiny wormhole by the flowers outside the window. Generally fine state of preservation. Impression: Very fine impression with gauffrage.
