Artist: Kuniyoshi Format: Oban tate-e: 14.25" x 9.75" Subject: Musashi-bo Benkei, having captured Tosa-bo Shoshun in the night-attack on the Horikawa palace, carries his captive before him on his horse; two spectators, one leading the horse. Inset: green landscape with wooded hill and band of mist. Publisher: Yawata-ya Sakujiro Date: 1852 Condition: Very good colors. Very slightly trimmed. Japanese album backing paper. Minor marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage.
