Catalog note / 解説

"Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi no Uchi" Mariko station on Tokaido. It was famous for the local delicacy, "tororo-jiru" (grated yam soup). The two guys sitting in the tea house eating it were Mr. Yaji and Mr. Kita of "Hizakurige". The design motif of the background scenery was taken from Ando Hiroshige's series, "The fifty-three Stations along Tokaido".
