Monday, 10 September 2007 You are bidding on a very beautiful and special original Japanese woodblock print triptych Bijin-ga “Spring Outing” signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master chikanobu Yoshu (1838-1912), made in December Meiji 28, which is 1895. This woodblock print triptych depicts Bijins outing for fun in the early spring while cherry starting to blossom. The three panels of this original triptych are separate. The size of each panel of this triptych is 14 3/4 x 10 inches. The artist’s signature is at the lower right corner of the right panel.
