Catalog note / 解説
"Tokugawa Jidai Kifujin" (Court Ladies in Tokugawa Era). Viewing the red and while lion dance. Lion dance is related to the legend of O-e Hiromoto (1148-1225), a mythical warrior in Japan, who became a Buddhism priest. He went to China to practice the austerities. When he was crossing a bridge one day, he was visited by spirit of a lion, which suddenly appeared among the blooming peonies and performed a beautiful dance in front of him.
