Catalog note / 解説
"Azuma Nishiki Chuya Kurabe" (Edo Embroidery Pictures, Comparison of Day and Night). Minamoto Raiko and his famed Four Retainers were on the way to battle against the dangerous robber group in Mt.Oh'e. They encountered two women washing clothes and asked for the direction. The women showed them the robber's hideout. They killed Shuten Doji, the monstrous head of the robbers, and eradicated the robber group which had been terrorising the people around.
