Kawase- SPRING EVENING AT KINTAIKYO BRIDGE- 1.jpg is: Evening at the Kintaibashi in Spring, 1947 Kawase Hasui (1883? 1957) This wonderful spring cherry blossom scene at the Kintaibashi is one of Hasui’s best. The beautiful blossoms in full bloom dominate the foreground in a design reminiscent of Hiroshige. A single boatman passes under the traditional old bridge. Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui” Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size- 9?” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e) Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins.
