Kawase HASUI (1883-1957) "HINUMA, HIROURA, MITO", -1946 From "Selections of Views of the Tokaido (TOKAIDO fukei senshu)" Later edition ORIGINAL Image size 9.5" x 14.75" Condition "Pristine"-never laid down-full margins-no tears, no folds, no creases, no foxing, no stains-PERFECT! Good bleedthrough on verso (see scan). Complete with HASUI signature and Sui (see scan) and authenticated by Watanabe cartouche. This is one of the most striking HASUI prints I have ever seen! Master HASUI's use of color and shading is incredible. The full moon shimmering on the blue gray water and the rich, lush greens of the foliage is truly awe-inspiring.
