Catalog note / 解説
From the series, "Meisho Juni Kei" (Twelve Famous Sceneries), "Takamatsu no Asa". Sailboats are heading to the ocean in the morning mist at Takamatsu. Hasui made 12 designs for uchiwa-e commissioned by the Japanese paper maker, Haibara in 1935. They were published as "Hasui Uchiwa-e Juni Kei". The original blocks were discovered from the warehouse of the printer, Takahashi. This new series were made from the original blocks with the permission by the heir of Hasui.
