Night Scene at Miyajima, 1947 Kawase Hasui (1883? 1957) Night Scene at Miyajima A glowing night scene of the famous Miyajima torii. This favorite location for both Japanese and tourists to Japan is a wonderful setting for one of Hasui’s best night scenes. The image is predominately in rich blues contrasted with the yellow glow of the ancient stone lanterns.
