Catalog note / 解説
Typhoon, by Isoda Koryusai (active late 18th century) The poem across the top of the print might be paraphrased even last night, when the wind whipped, clouds tangled, there was no time to forget, unforgettable you. Typhoons, when they did not cause too much damage, seem to have given a sense of the approach of autumn. The morning after a storm or typhoon, the red leaves of the maple tree blown here and there elicit a sense of poignancy.
