"Kyodo Risshi no Motoi" (Heroes and heroines who have been regarded as standards of moral leadership and success) No.44. Tokugawa Keiki, the last Shogun of Tokugawa era which had lasted for 300 years. He was a very cultured man who had many interests which were shown in the print. He agreed to open the country to the foreigners and renounced his political power to the emperor and the new Meiji government.
