Catalog note / 解説
"Nihon Hana Zue" (Pictures of Flowers of Japan). Large ancient cherry tree, nicknamed as Kabazakura in Ishito. It was regarded as one of the Five Great Cherry Trees in Japan and designated as a natural monument. The circumference of the tree was 11 meters (ca. 36 feet). Approximate age was 800 years old.
