Catalog note / 解説
Saturday, 22 January 2011 For auction a Rare antique Signed Japanese colored woodcut. Measures 7 6/8 x 13 1/2 inches. Shows a Mallard Duck. Nice bright colors + original. Sold by Daikokuya H. Matsuki. No 2 Yoshikawa-cho, Hyogokn. Tokyo, Japan. A rare print for the Duck lover or collector of fine Japanese Woodcut prints. I would say this is a early 1900's print. Very Nice condition! The print is attached at the top to a thin backing paper. Held up to a light looking at the back the image shows through along with six evenly spaced watermark straight lines made in the paper, so I assume its printed on to a rice type paper?
