Catalog note / 解説
This an genuine original oban size first edition shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991), titled in kanji "Yomei Gate in Light Rain", and dated Showa 10 (1935). This print is in fine condition and has never been framed. Fine impression, color, registration and strong bleedthrough. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not setdown or trimmed. The print was published by Watanabe Shozaburo and bears the Watanabe E seal (1932-1941). Image size is 9.5" x 14", paper size is 10.25" x 15.5.
