Monday, 28 August 2006 Sandhill in the Morning from the series Twelve Sights of Oshima Island by Ito Shinsui. Original woodblock print circa 1937. Very good condition. A light streak of toned washi near left border. Fine color and impression. Title and series in right margin. Shinsui characters and red seal in upper right of image. 6mm Watanabe seal in lower right of image. Good texture and ink bleedthrough on fine Japanese washi. Compare to same image on page 124 of the book All the Woodblock Print of Shinsui Ito.
