Koitsu-Full Moon at Akashi Beach- 6mm.jpg is: Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Tschiya Koitsu. Ca.1930's. Print bears the round 6mm Watanabe publisher seal which indicates that this is a lifetime edition and not posthumous. Most Koitsu prints were published by Doi. This print is also a little different in color and design for Koitsu. Somewhat similar to the work of Hasui. Koitsu lived from 1870-1949. He studied initially with Kiyochika. Excellent color and impression with no flaws. Oban design measures 10.25" x 15.5". Print is signed and titled in pencil in the bottom margin. Title: Akashi Beach Near Bobe.
